Things to do in Belper
There are so many things to do in Belper. As residents we are so lucky to have these amazing things on our doorsteps. As visitors to Belper, we want you to enjoy whats on offer, as there is so much you can do and so many events taking place. We have listed our favourite things to do in Belper.
Belper River Gardens
Set next to the Belper North Mill, these beautiful landscaped gardens have been host to visiting families for over 100 years. In the middle of the beautiful flowerbeds is the bandstand where on the odd occasion throughout the summer you will hear local bands play to crowds of local Belper residents. Hire a rowing boat in the summer and head under the railway bridge to spot a Kingfisher diving for a feed or let the kids run wild on the childrens play area. Ignore the almost derelict tearooms, as a crowdfunded “Buy a Brick” campaign should see the place rebuilt and renovated ready to serve the residents and visitors of this beautiful town.
